Education
From August 2007 until May 2008 I studied at MIT’s International Masters of Logistics Engineering and Supply Chain Mangement in Zaragoza, Spain and in Boston, Massachusetts. This is where I wrote the thesis on energy efficiency in the supply chain and began my career in energy efficiency and renewable energy. MIT opened this international campus in Zaragoza to compliment the Cambridge, Massachusetts based program because of Aragon and Zaragoza’s forward thinking placement of the largest logistics facility in Europe, PLAZA, just outside the Zaragoza city limits.
From November 2006 until August 2007 I studied an International MBA at IE, one of the world’s leading business schools, in the heart of Madrid, Spain. Special focus was placed on entrepreneurial ventures, with 25% of IE graduates starting their own businesses upon graduation. IE is continuously recognized worldwide as a leading academic institution, with its MBA program ranked at number 6 by the 2009 Financial Times worldwide business school rankings.
In the backyard of the world’s largest retailer, I gained a BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Arkansas. An ABET accredited program, the U of A civil engineering program is second to none regarding the quality of the professors and their academic and real life backgrounds. This training in large scale, extremely analytical and complex projects taught me methodology of successfully conquering any problem, great or small.
